‘Time’s Up’ is a masterpiece of an album. Still stands up today.

"That was the thing to avoid at all costs" referring to the current hot war in Ukraine... segueing into Vernon talking about growing up in the shadow of the cold war. Reminding us of just how important and influential that that was in history is a great moment in this interview. All of us as kids went to school every day wondering what, if anything, would happen between the USA and USSR; and then, suddenly, it was over. It's only been since the late 1980's that that ended and it feels like the nation has completely forgotten that it even happened. Anyway, the perspective here into the band's influences is so much better than just a rig rundown - once again, thank you Vernon for giving us some of your time (and maybe some wisdom, too).

Met Vernon at NAMM a few years ago, really nice and down to earth. I really appreciate that he started the video by giving homage to one of the greatest rhythm guitarists in Nile Rodgers, another legend in Catfish Collins. and a shout out to Prince's rhythm playing. As a teenager who started out playing funk and R&B, I was highly influenced by these underrated guitarists, as well as other great rythym players like Al McKay, Sugarfoot and Gary Shider. These guitarists are never given the due they deserve, thanks Vernon 🎸❤️

Just listened to their album Shade too day. Still totally relevant and rocks like hell. This band has huge talent and a conscience that demands attention. Could have been huge if people would have acknowledged the truth and not run from it. Rock on Vernon and LC. The world needs you.

I loved this video, really not typical of the usual equipment demo videos. Vernon's personal story and personality really shine here and I love that you let him speak without asking the same boring questions that these types of videos tend to go through. Huge thumbs up!

Laney is so overrated, i still have my Cub 12R 15 watt combo from years ago and its the best tube amp sound I’ve ever heard from a combo

please stop saying boutique. for everything. This is a great amp, but a historic name in amplification with a huge corporation behind it is so far from a ‘boutique.’ I’d much rather a Laney than a fuckin boutique amp with no history. Its just the grossest buzzword.
